It's been awhile since I posted an update. Hope you're all staying safe and keeping yourself occupied. I'm happy to report that I'm staying out of trouble and putting in some quality time in my studio. (I may have even started writing a script a certain new graphic novel... hint, hint.)
Couple of things:
First, please let me know if you haven't received your copy of the PS Digital Collection. A few people have contacted me who either did not get their email from BackerKit or otherwise had trouble downloading the files. Send me a note through Kickstarter or email me at [email protected] and I'll give you a working link your books ASAP!
Secondly, I have an update from the printer. The plant is currently printing The Art of Paradigm Shift, and I'm hoping to get advance copies of that next week. (I will post images as soon as I can.) Assuming everything checks out, the books will be getting on a boat at the end of the month, with a tentative arrival date in the US in early July. Hopefully this will mean you'll be getting your books around the time we can start leaving the house again... (fingers crossed!)
I've also started working on the reward commissions. Here are a couple for the "Exclusive Character Drawing" level. The one on the right already has a home, but on the right is yet unclaimed... Email me if you want it to be yours. =)
Lastly, if you've been following me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, you'll know I've been happily at work on the stretch goal ink sketches. I'm up to 192 (of 269), now!

Hey, everyone--
I'm happy to announce that the Paradigm Shift Digital Collection is on its way to your inbox. I just hit the "Distribute" button though BackerKit and sent out an email notification. Included are PS Volumes 1 & 2 and the new Art of PS!
They're pretty much identical to the upcoming print collections, aside from one feature: they have live footnote and character links. So you can click on things in the "Character Profile" and "Author Notes" sections to navigate to the relevant pages and back (if you click on the panel in question.)
Let me know if you don't receive the links to the files in your inbox, and I'll make sure you get your copies!

Hey, everyone--
I hope this message finds you healthy and safe. This month has been about as crazy as they come. I was just sending The Art of Paradigm Shift off to the printer before the coronavirus news hit, and it's been a case of weathering the disruptions in the weeks since.
Thankfully, my family and I are safe. We are in self-imposed "shelter in place" here in Massachusetts, and both my wife and I can work from home. While I'm used to doing that, I've had to move my teaching job online, and there's been a significant learning curve to this whole "distance learning" thing. I've spent the last few weeks learning a whole new set of skills and helping my students with technical issues as we moved the school online.
However, things are finally settling down a little and I've been able to turn my attention to Paradigm Shift again with my studio time. And there I have some good news I can share with you:
Firstly—last week I got advance proof copies of Volumes 1 & 2 in the mail, and they're beautiful!
It's really great to hold these two books in my hands after all the work I've put into them over the last few months (and years!) As you can see, they books look fantastic!
I don't have an exact shipping date yet, though. There was a misprint in the proofs that we're getting sorted out first. Hoping to get it corrected this week. Also, The Art of Paradigm Shift needed some corrections in pre-press, so I've had to do some back and forth to get that sorted. Looks like we're nearly there, though. Luckily the printer's plant is in South Korea, so thanks to the swift and comprehensive response to the outbreak there, nothing's been shut down.
Secondly—The ebook editions are coming this week!
Now that the print editions are finalized, I've also been able to finally put the finishing touches on the ebooks this week. So, expect some downloads in your inbox in the very near future. I hope they will be a pleasant way to distract yourself for a few hours in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, stay healthy. Stay safe. And stay home.

Quick update — Art of PS is now in final proofing!

Hey, everyone!
Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know things are moving along. I just delivered the final draft of The Art of Paradigm Shift to my proofreader, so we're on track to have final files delivered to the printer next week.
Paradigm Shift Vols. 1 & 2 are in process with the printer. I've spent the past few days making some tweaks to the final files. One big change is that I had to add two color pages to Vol. 1 to meet color insert specs (it was that or lose 2 pages...) to bring the total up to 32 total pages of glorious color!
The color pages used to end on page 25 during the opening of the Chinatown scene...
...but now the color fades out here, instead.
Now I'm waiting on soft-proofs before the books get sent to press.
However, I got an update on the lead time and it looks like it's going to be 10-11 weeks for turnaround, not 8, so we're looking at delivery in early May instead of mid-April. However, that will give me plenty of time to finish out everyone's illustrations and character drawings in the meantime.
Next up, I'll be getting the ebooks together. Watch your inboxes for the digital collection in the next week or so!

Proof printout of PS Vol. 1
I'm delighted to announce that Paradigm Shift Volumes 1 & 2 are now off to the printer!
So, we should be on track to have books back in hand sometime in April. I'll keep you updated on the timeline as I work with the printer.
The books themselves are massive! Volume 1’s spine is nearly an inch thick! It all seemed pretty theoretical until I saw the stack of printouts:
I’ll be working with the printer to ensure the final quality, but based these initial prints, I’m confident these books are going to be beautiful. Here are some sneak peeks of the proofs:
Next up, I'll be finalizing the Art of Paradigm Shift book and getting that off to the printer. The digital versions of Vol. 1 & 2 will follow as soon as there's final sign-off from the printer as they go to press.
